A new generation of artists is being promoted.
The Tezos Foundation, a Swiss non-profit, recently announced a $1.23 million (£1 million) donation to a fund that will collect non-fungible tokens (NFTs) from budding artists in Africa and Asia. Misan Harriman, a well-known photographer and one of NFT production and collection pioneers, will curate the artists’ work.
According to The Art journal, Harriman, the chairman of London’s Southbank Center, will also focus on acquiring pieces by artists from underrepresented locations in the NFT network.
Harriman talked about his role as curator of the Tezos Foundation’s so-called permanent art collection.
As the collection’s inaugural curator, I want to make sure that the public hears from many people who are accomplishing truly remarkable things cheval. The permanent collection of the Tezos Foundation will honour and promote a new generation of artists who have chosen to be their authentic selves thanks to smart contracts.

While some detractors of NFTs have expressed worries about cryptocurrency volatility, proponents of the underlying blockchain technology believe that NFTs will break down long-standing boundaries in the art industry. Barriers remain, according to the Tezos Foundation, which is an outgrowth of the Tezos Blockchain, but they can’t block NFT adoption.
In a recent statement, Arthur Breitman, one of the co-founders and early architects of Tezos, discussed how the collection generates visibility for Web3 artists. “This project lets us develop a bespoke location whose primary purpose is to promote digital artists who use Tezos to share their work with the world in a sustainable way,” he added.
